Summer Camp 2026

Week 1: 6/15-6/19 Unique Crafts: The process of making art is more important and can be more fun than the final product. Campers will do squeegee painting, floating drawings, scratch off rainbow art, bubble art, and much more. This week will be full of messy hands-on fun!

Week 2: 6/22-6/26 Adventures on the High Seas: Campers will explore pirate life and the mythical creatures in pirate lore such as Mermaids and the Kraken. Campers will design their own mini pirate ship, create a pirate flag, and test out their sea legs with balance games. (Optional/additional cost field trip: Pirate Adventure on the Chesapeake, Annapolis 6/23)

Week 3: 6/29-7/3 America’s 250th Birthday: Join us in celebrating the United States of America’s 250th birthday. Campers will be creating red, white and blue crafts, treats and games. Camper will learn about American Symbols, the bald eagle, American flag, the declaration of independence, and the statue of Liberty. Camper will discover what freedom means and celebrates America’s diverse culture.

Week 4: 7/6-7/10 Everyday Physics: Campers will experiment with motion, force, and gravity. Campers will make launchers, air powered cars, their own marble maze game, and create pendulum gravity paintings. This will be a busy interactive experience.

Week 5: 7/13-7/17 Creature Files: Animals and insects are amazing creatures. Each one has its own unique attributes and abilities that enable them to survive. Campers will investigate these creature abilities. Campers will do lot of fun creature crafts and play teamwork games. (Optional/additional cost field trip: Elms Beach 7/14)

 Week 6: 7/20-7/24 Culinary Creations: Campers will work on basic cooking skills and kitchen safety while using simple kitchen tools. Campers will make a variety of yummy snacks and healthy treats. Including decorating cupcakes, Veggie art, and homemade ice cream. (Optional/additional cost field trip: Ledo’s Pizza) 

Week 7: 7/27-7/31 Upcycled Art: Campers will use a variety of recycled materials to make fun, new creations. Campers will learn about the amount of waste each person produces and discuss ways we can make a difference.

Week 8: 8/3-8/7 Junior Scientist: Grab your lab coat and let’s get experimenting! Campers will participate in an assortment of different experiments including growing crystals, making their own bouncy balls, writing with invisible ink, and blowing rainbow bubbles.

Week 9: 8/10-8/14 Camping in the Great Outdoors: Join us for a week full of camping fun! Campers will build shelters in teams, learn about first aid, go on a scavenger hunt, make soler ovens, paint rocks, make tin can lanterns and much more. (Optional/additional cost field trip: Gilbert Run Park 8/12)

 Week 10: 8/17-8/21 Let the Games Begin! Campers will enjoy an assortment of different games from classic board games like candy land to picnic games like egg spoon races to indoor games like musical chairs. Campers will create and play their own games including their own board game. Anyway, you play, game time is fun time! Thursday, August will be our end of summer carnival day, with lots of games, a moon bounce and cotton candy.


Sunshine summer camps are for ages 5 through 12. Campers will be placed in groups according to age and/or ability. Camp costs include camp and daycare between 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A $15.00 registration fee is due at the time of registration for new Campers. The registration fee does not apply to current Sunshine students. There is a $80.00 deposit per week due at the time of registration for all campers. Summer Camp Registration Process and Policies


 First Time Campers- Print and fill out all the enrollment forms found on St. Mary’s Sunshine Center’s website sunshine-center.com; Emergency Card, Health Inventory with an updated shot record, All about Me form and the Summer Camp registration. The forms and form of payment can be turned in to the front desk at St. Mary’s Sunshine Center or emailed to sunshineadmin@sunshine-center.com.  All new campers pay a one-time $15 registration fee. (no fee for returning campers and current Sunshine Center students)  


Current Sunshine Student and Returning Campers: Print and fill out the summer camp registration form found on our website. The form can be turned in at the front desk or emailed to sunshineadmin@sunshine-center.com.  


Tuition and Fees:  Camp costs $245.00 per week. There is an $80.00 non-refundable deposit per camp week. The deposit will be applied to the camp fee. The remaining balance for ALL camp weeks is due June 13th. Payment in full will be due at the time of registration for anyone registering after May 30th.

Refunds and Deposit Policy: There are no refunds of any kind after June 13th. The deposits for the camps are non-refundable


Payment Methods: Payment can be made by credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover) or current Tuition Express account. 


Lunch/Snacks: Campers must bring their own ready-to-eat lunch. 1% milk will be provided to drink with lunch.  Please do not send soda with your child. A snack with water or 1% milk will be provided twice a day, at 8:30am and 3:00pm. Let us know if your child has any dietary restrictions or food allergies. Documentation from your child’s physician is required and can be turn in to the front desk or emailed to sunshineadmin@sunshine-center.com.


Chick-fil-A/ Pizza Friday(optional): On alternating Fridays you will have the option to purchase Chick-fil-A or Papa John’s pizza. A sign-up sheet will be at the Front desk a week in advance to place your order. On Chick-fil-A Fridays you child will receive the entrée you chose, a fruit and a vegetable. The cost will vary depending on the entrée you chose. On pizza Fridays your child will receive 2 slices of cheese or pepperoni pizza, a fruit and a vegetable for $5.00. The cost will be added to your account and be processed on tuition Fridays.


Let us know if your child has any dietary restrictions or food allergies. 

Documentation from your child’s physician is required and can be turned in to the front desk or faxed to (301) 475-2397.  


Special Needs or Medical Concerns: Let us know at time of enrollment if your child has any medical concerns or special needs. Additional information is needed for your child to enroll. A medication form must be filled out for any medication, prescribed or over the counter, that your child will need. This form can be found on our website.   


Field Trips and Guest Speakers:  Trips will be  optional and have additional costs. Permission slips will be sent home prior to the trip. Once your permission slip is turned in your account will be charged for the cost of the trip and will be processed on the next tuition Friday. We will need chaperons and hope you can join us.


Water day/ Ice Cream: Every Wednesday, weather permitting, campers will have water day and a special treat at no additional cost to parents. For water day your child will need a bathing suit, water shoes (NO Flip Flops), towel, and sunscreen in a bag that can be hung up.. Sunscreen is to be applied in the morning before arrival and will be reapplied in the afternoon. Water Day items will be sent home every week to be washed. Sunscreen can remain at the center to be applied every afternoon at outside time. The Ice Cream truck will come every Wednesday at 1pm. There is a variety of items to choose from between $3- $5. The Ice Cream truck only takes cash. Ice cream money can be sent in weekly or a larger amount to be used throughout the summer. You will be notified when your child’s ice cream money account falls below $5.
